It was choir anniversary day at Living Pilgrims Rehoboth Assembly on Sunday, 21st April, 2024. The atmosphere was filled with joy and the celebrants appeared in their special attires.
Kicking the ball rolling was the General Overseer, Evangelist Kolawole Asaolu with opening prayer and hymn, after which the choristers led a worship session to attract attention of GOD into the Service. In furtherance, Deacon Martins Alaka led the morning prayer, during which he emphasized strongly on the need to show deep and sincere appreciation to GOD for His faithfulness and love over the Church.
Sunday School was then observed in different classes, and was later finalized by Pastor Felix Ayodele, the Sunday School Coordinator.
The Only Lesson which was taken from Psalms 145: 5-8 was read by Mr Emmanuel Ogunmodede and Deacon Garba Arogundade in English and Yoruba languages respectively.
Collection of tithe and offerings was coordinated by Elder Sunday Alaka. Using this medium, some members testified to the goodness of GOD over their families and then specially thanked GOD for being faithful to them and their loved ones.
The choir thereafter delivered their special anthems for the anniversary through godly and inspirational songs ministration.
The Sermon, titled, "What We Need is Mercy", was delivered by Deacon Garba Arogundade after the choir ministration, and during this time, he informed the Church that the greatest mercy ever received by mankind is JESUS CHRIST. He thereby charged the congregation to surrender their lives completely to JESUS for them to enjoy His divine mercy.
Other events during the Service are, choir special ministrations in celebration of their anniversary, drama presentation by the choir, thanksgiving of birthday celebrants for the month of April and children monthly thanksgiving.
While bringing the Service to a close, the General Overseer advised the Church to commit their ways in the new week to the hand of GOD, after which he led the closing prayer and benediction. The Church closed around 1:30pm.
Service Update was written by Brother Odunayo Ogunmodede
