The Daily Light: Divine Safety

TEXT FOR TODAY:

Psalms 23:4

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

ADMONITION:

This Psalmist has deeply expressed his confidence in GOD, trusting Him for protection. HE also demonstrated his faith in GOD, believing that His presence will never depart from him. In this new year, brethren, let us trust in GOD alone for safety both spiritually and physically. Never put your trust in any human, no matter how wealthy or influential the person is. Trust Him for safe journeys. Trust Him for good health. Trust Him for the gift of life. Trust Him for peace. If He is with us, no one can be against us. The Scripture says "even though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death we will fear no evil". No matter the number or strength of the forces surrounding us, once we allow JESUS to take charge of our life, no evil will ever have dominion over us.

OBLIGATIONS:

i. Put your trust completely in GOD, and not in man.

ii. Have faith in GOD for true protection.

iii. Surrender your life completely to JESUS.

SUPPLICATION:

FATHER LORD, thank You so much for the assurance of your protection over us. Please continue to be our shield and guide, so that no weapon of enemies shall succeed over us, in the Name of our LORD JESUS CHRIST. Amen.
