The Daily Light: He Who Makes Idol is Ignorant

TEXT FOR TODAY:

Isaiah 44:9 

All who make idols are nothing, and the things they treasure are worthless. Those who would speak up for them are blind; they are ignorant, to their own shame.

ADMONITION: 

An idol is anything we worship in place of GOD. It may be an image, gold, money, your spouse or job, and so on. The Bible says all these things are worthless, and they cannot save themselves, not to talk of saving others. Aside valuing humans and materials more than GOD, many Christians still patronize man made gods secretly even after sweating in the Church, praying. Where is our faith? The Bible says these are ignorant to their shame! We need to come to realization that GOD is GOD, and He will remain GOD forever, and He will never share His Glory with any man or creature. The habit of not admitting His supremacy is the main blockage to the testimony of some of us. We must maintain our stand in GOD, and accord Him His due worship if we must be a part of His projects both here on earth and in Eternity.

SUPPLICATION:

Our heavenly FATHER, we thank You for Your love over us. We thank You for creating us in Your image and not as animals. Please give us Your Spirit and the wisdom to acknowledge Your supremacy always, in the mighty Name of JESUS CHRIST our Redeemer. Amen.
