TODAY'S SABBATH: WORSHIP HIM IN SPIRIT

TEXT FOR TODAY:

John 4:24

God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."

ADMONITION: 

The Bible has made us realize that GOD cannot be pleased with the flesh, but through His Spirit. What is the outcome of our worships to GOD if we detach ourselves from His Spirit? Sure, nothing. HE is Spirit, and He appreciates true worship in Spirit, and not in flesh, because the flesh derives pleasures in every pleasant and sinful thing, while His Spirit helps us to overcome the flesh. For acceptable services and worships to Him therefore, we need the Holy Spirit. The implication of which is that GOD honours the worships of His chosen, those who have completely dedicated their lives to Him, and He has no pleasure in the services of unrepentant Christians.

OBLIGATIONS:

i. Surrender your life to CHRIST in totality and live a holy life.

ii. Pray for The Holy Spirit engagement at all time.

iii. Possess true heart of worship whenever you are in His presence, even this morning as you are going before Him to observe the Sabbath.

iv. Love GOD genuinely, love your neighbours and forgive everyone who offends you. 

v. Feed on the Word of GOD everyday and pray without ceasing.

SUPPLICATION:

O LORD our heavenly FATHER, we thank You for another Sabbath, please let Your Spirit not depart from us at any time, so that we can be able to render acceptable offerings of worship to You at all time, in the Mighty Name of our LORD JESUS CHRIST. Amen.
