TODAY'S SABBATH: POSITIONS IN THE CHURCH

TEXT FOR TODAY:

Joshua 4:14 

That day the LORD exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they revered him all the days of his life, just as they had revered Moses.

ADMONITION:

Brethren, it's GOD that puts one in positions, regardless of age or the length of time we have spent in the Church. GOD appointed Joshua to succeed Moses, not because he's the oldest or wisest among the Isrealites, but Grace. And because Joshua was diligent in his services to GOD, GOD significantly exalted him. In the Church today, even in the secular world, as a child of GOD, we must not fight over positions. It is Only GOD that promotes, and through His Grace alone, not by power or paper qualifications. We must work diligently to support the Gospel, and never be like the Pharisees who mostly are hypocrites.

OBLIGATIONS:

i. Do not keep grudges in Church due to positions, it's only GOD that promotes and demotes.

ii. In whatever positions you are appointed to serve The LORD, do it with all your power so as to be exalted for His Glory alone. Remember Joshua.

iii. Support whoever is made a leader over you. It's for a common goal; expansion of The Kingdom of GOD.

SUPPLICATION:

Our heavenly FATHER, we thank You for another glorious day in Your presence. We pray O LORD, that You please help us in our various ministries so that we can make gains for You, in the mighty Name of our LORD JESUS CHRIST. Amen.
