THE DAILY LIGHT: ENVY

TEXT FOR TODAY:

Genesis 4:8 

Now Cain said to his brother Abel, "Let's go out to the field." And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.

ADMONITION:

Brethren in the LORD, if anyone is doing anything good, do not envy him, but rather emulate him. Wishing him bad or dead will do you no good. In the Church, in your working places, your neighborhood and wherever you may find yourself, you must never conspire against anyone for their skills, exploits or outstanding performances, but rather step up your own participation. Instead of Cain to repent and emulate his brother, he sent him to early grave. You know the rest of the story. He was cursed beyond his age!

SUPPLICATION:

O LORD, please give us the spirit to emulate good characters instead of envying, in the Mighty Name of JESUS. Amen.
