1. Life: The scripture says, "there is time for everything; time to be born, etc". This is when the major journey of a man commences in life. The real starting point.
2. Increase: Arising from the number 1 above, feeding and nourishment follow, and the little man begins to grow - increases in size and wisdom.
3. Depreciation: No matter how wealthy or poor a man could be, as he ages, a stage would be reached where he would start depreciating in health, wisdom, and some times, size.
4. Pains: As a result of depreciation, pains set in. This is when the aged would start seeing different symptoms of illnesses. It's usually the most challenging period of a man's life.
5. End: No matter how rich you are, no matter how poor you are, no matter how long you live, no matter the class you place yourself in the society, death is the end of every man. From pains to death!
What then is life?
Temporary! Empty! Vanity! The greatest asset you could ever possess in life is the number of lives you influence. The number of people who can boldly say, "he is my benefactor", the number of people who can gladly say, "if not for him", the number of people who can emotionally say, "my generation yet unborn can never forget him". No other fulfilment is greater than this on earth!
If you have the wherewithal, influence people's destinies positively, lift them from poverty, be a part of others' success stories, above all, be a source of laughter to humanity. Spread joy to mankind, their tears add nothing to your joy!
