NEW WEEK TONIC: JULY 13, 2020

TOPIC: RIGHTEOUSNESS EXALTS A NATION

INTRODUCTION:

Righteousness exalts a nation, truthfulness is the strength and beauty of a people, and love is the gain of all.

Righteousness is a situation or condition where one is morally justified. It is synonymous to honesty and truthfulness, and also a highly gainful character for whoever embraces it.

SOME REASONS TO BE RIGHTEOUS:

i. Promotes peace: Righteousness allows peace to reign in the society, and this is not unconnected with the fact that any society devoid of impartiality and lies will always enjoy calm environment without chaos.

ii. Promotes love: Any people that allow true justification in all ramifications will surely enjoy love in their domains. The society would live peacefully without threat of war or violence.

iii. Promotes development: Righteousness is a catalyst to any nation's development. When the leaders are honest enough to serve the people with the fear of God and diligence, and the citizens too play their roles, sky will surely be their starting point.

iv. Promotes hope restoration: Even if a people have already lost confidence in their society, an advent of righteousness at any point in time will certainly fix the errors and return normalcy to the society.

v. Promotes relationship: Nobody is willing to associate with an unrighteous person. Even among the nations of the world, none wishes to transact businesses with thr dubious ones. These are indeed, good clarifications that righteousness is a key prerequisite to a good relationship.

SCRIPTURAL POINTER:

Proverb 14:34

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.

God is a Symbol of righteousness, and Jesus Christ came to this world to demonstrate this. It is therefore mandatory to emulate CHRIST as our over all Father and Mentor.

CONCLUSION:

Godliness, truthfulness, honesty and love should be our Sermon at all time, and if this can be achieved by all, definitely the world would be a better place for all of us.

In the light of this admonition therefore, it's a pleasure to urge all of us to go out this week, and preach against moral decadence but propagate behavioural Sermons of diligence, loyalty and respect for all mankind.
