The first Sunday Service in the month of August, 2024 at Living Pilgrims Rehoboth Assembly commenced at 8:00am when the General Overseer, Evangelist Kolawole Asaolu led the Opening Prayer and called the Opening Hymn.
As part of the opening session, the Choristers led the Church through a worship moment, after which Prophetess Folashade Asaolu steered the Morning Prayer.
Proceeding in the Service, the Sunday School was held and later summarized by Pastor Felix Ayodele, the Sunday School Coordinator.
The Only Lesson for the glorious Service was taken from The Book of James, Chapter 1, from verse 19 to 27 and read by Deacon Garba Arogundade and Evangelist Kolawole Asaolu in English and Yoruba languages respectively.
Collection of offerings was thereafter coordinated by Deacon Martins Alaka, during which special thanksgivings and testimonies, as well as Women monthly thanksgiving took place.
Prior to the Sermon was a song ministration from the Choir, after which the Preacher mounted the Pulpit.
Admonishing the Church in his Sermon which he titled, "Doer of God's Word," Evang Kolawole Asaolu charged the Church to always be the doers of God's Word and not only the hearer.
After the Sermon, the Assistant Church Secretary made the General announcement, in which he reminded the Church of it's routine activities and other relevant updates.
While bringing the Service to a close, Evangelist Asaolu led the closing prayer and benediction, and then dispersed the congregation in peace around 1:00pm.
Service Update was written by Sister Cassandra Oluwatomiwa
