Today, 16th June, 2024 was Good Women Anniversary Day at Living Pilgrims Rehoboth Assembly, and Service commenced around 8am with opening prayer led by Evangelist Kolawole Asaolu, the General Overseer of the Godly Mission.
This was followed by singing of opening hymn, worship songs, and morning prayer (led by Deacon Garba Arogundade).
Sunday School was thereafter observed in eight different classes and the topic was later rounded off and summarized by the Sunday School Coordinator, Pastor Felix Ayodele.
The only Lesson for the Service which was taken from Psalm 133: 1-3 was read in Yoruba and English languages respectively by Evangelist Asaolu and Mr Emmanuel Ogunmodede.
Collection of offerings and special thanksgivings, including children monthly thanksgiving, men special thanksgiving as well as family annual thanksgiving was coordinated by Elder Sunday Alaka.
Continuing in the Service and in order to appreciate the women on the occasion of their anniversary, the trio of Brother Victor Kolade, Mr Ogunmusesan and Deacon Garba Arogundade commented on the roles and significance of women as mothers, wives and friends.
The choristers then delivered a special song which preceded the Sermon.
While preaching, Evangelist Asaolu advised the congregation and Christians worldwide to embrace unity in the Church and the society at large.
Another significant event that occured in the Service is celebration of the men, being the father's day as well.
Bringing the Service to a close, the General Overseer charged members to commit their ways to GOD's hand in the new week, admonishing that it's Only GOD that can protect humans in all ways.
The Service was finally brought to a close with closing prayer and benediction said by the General Overseer around 1:35pm.
Service Update was written by Brother Odunayo Ogunmodede
