TEXT FOR TODAY:
Genesis 3:6
When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.
ADMONITION:
As a child of GOD, it is wise to always remember that everything that glitters is not gold. Satan presented the fruit to Eve so that she could behold the beauty of it. It was indeed fresh and pleasing to the eyes. We must therefore take lessons from this and be constantly reminded that satan always makes sin attractive to his potential and existing victims. The ways out of this calamity is total obedience to the Word of GOD and contentment with whatever GOD has provided for us. Above all, once we have eternity in view, the Holy Spirit will be guiding our steps and we will have zero love for the things of this world. With this, satan will never be victorious over us, especially with his instrumentality of deceit.
OBLIGATIONS:
i. Have eternity in view. Matthew 6:33.
ii. Be contented with whatever GOD gives you.
iii. Always emulate righteousness, and not sin.
iv. Prioritize GOD's commands over human's.
SUPPLICATION:
Our heavenly FATHER, we thank You for the light of today. Please strengthen us O LORD, so that satan will not destroy us with his instrument of deceit, in the Name of our LORD JESUS CHRIST. Amen.
