THE DAILY LIGHT: THE PLACE OF FASTING AND PRAYER

TEXT FOR TODAY:

Esther 4:16 

"Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maids will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish."

ADMONITION:

At this point, Esther knew the only way out of their calamity was to pray and fast for the safety of herself and her people. She invited Mordecai to the spiritual assignment, and GOD came to their rescue. Brethren, in this new year, let us not ignore the place of fasting and prayer in the journey of our life, especially at the point of challenges. It is a way of committing our requests unto GOD and trusting Him for the best results in our endeavours. This is one of the keys to a successful year. Let's embrace it.

SUPPLICATION:

Our GOD and our Father, we thank You that You never put us in darkness with regards to Your Word. Please fill us daily with Your Spirit, so that we will be stronger in fasting and prayer, and with stronger faith in You, in the most precious Name of our LORD JESUS CHTIST. Amen.
