1Peter 4:1 

Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin.

ADMONITION:

Discipline in this case refers to a situation where you displease the flesh and then please the Spirit. Flesh cannot please GOD, this can only be achieved through the help of the Holy Spirit. We must arm ourselves with the Word of GOD which is a major magnet that draws His Spirit, and the gateway to this is by being born again genuinely. The above Text is admonishing us therefore to be stronger in Spirit so at to overcome the destructive work of the flesh and be victorious over sin.

SUPPLICATION:

O LORD, please equip us the more on a daily basis with Your Spirit and Power, so that we can be dead to sin and be alive to Your Will and Love, in the Name of JESUS. Amen.
