The Nigeria Civil Service Union (NCSU), Ondo State Council, led by the State Chairman, Comrade Olapade Ademola Adeniji and the entire members, join the people of Ondo State to felicitate with all Christians on the occasion of the 2021 Easter celebration.
The number one member of the Union in the State, Comrade Ademola, with a joyful heart in this Easter message thank the good Lord for His mercy and constant love for mankind which He demonstrated by sending His only begotten Son to die a torturous death.
According to him, Jesus Christ died for our sins, to restore us so that we can be united with Him, because He loves us unconditionally. The real purpose of the mystery of the Cross is to cancel the sins of the world which is absolutely necessary if we are to achieve final union with our Lord, and that's His ultimate goal.
The Chairman emphasized that "The Cross" offers all men and women the possibility of avoiding sin and of integrating Christ's suffering and death into their own path to holiness, and that His resurrection allows us to be born again to a new life. We should allow Christ's resurrection to affect our daily lives by reviving our relationship, enthusiasm, happiness and faith towards Christ. We should also be appreciative to The Eternal Father for granting us everlasting redemption, even though the world is facing a serious challenge caused by the deadly virus called Corona which is ravaging the world and causing the death of millions. But, we Christians take solace in Isaiah 53:5, "by His stripes we are healed," and through the power in the resurrection of Jesus, we will be victorious. Through Christ's death and resurrection, God has destined that we live in peace and harmony.
The Senior Comrade lamented about the state of security in the Nation at the moment, stressing that security should be a fundamental right and entitlement of every citizen, but it's been otherwise, and a major challenge in the Country currently. Some of the opinionated causes of the aforementioned, according to him, are unemployment and poverty, high rate of illiteracy in some sections of the Country, ethnicity and religious differences. He thereby urged the Nigerian government to address these problems, especially the worrisome issues of kidnapping, rape, armed robbery, political crises and murder.
He strongly, as usual, maintained that the welfare of workers is sacrosanct. He therefore advised Government at all levels to emulate Jesus Christ, who, out of love and concern, died for us so that we can have life and have it abundantly, and make life worth living for workers by providing a conducive working environment and all other necessary incentives which includes but not limited to regular payment of salaries, leave bonuses, granting of loans, and promotions for deserving workers. Workers too are encouraged to love one another, live up to their productivity expectations, thereby giving their very best for the growth and development of the State.
He conclusively wished all workers, especially the great and ever gallant members of the NCSU, a blissful, graceful and resourceful Easter.
