Christ Apostolic Church Council of Publicity Secretaries, Ondo State Conference Center has held its decentralized 16th National Publicity Week/Conference 2020 on Saturday, 3rd of October 2020 with the Theme, " Publicity of GOD'S Intervention in Human Affairs: Challenges and Prospects."
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic that is currently ravaging the world, and which has restricted the Church and it's departments from gathering in their thousands, the Conference was organized and held at State levels across the country. The Ondo State Center, based on the aforementioned, converged at Odubanjo Regional Headquarter, CAC Oke-Igan, Akure to observe the event.
While reading the presidential address and declaring the Conference open on behalf of Odubanjo Regional Superintendent, Pastor D.I.O. Edoh, the Personal Assistant to Regional Superintendent, Pastor Ayoola Akinjobi charged the publicity officers to make sure they learn new things daily and be the best they can in the business of GOD at all times.
The Odubanjo Regional Coordinator of CACCOPS, Pastor E.A Oluwasakin in his opening address thanked GOD for establishing the department and keeping us together for the gospel propagation. He prayed for a rewarding service before GOD and long lives to do greater exploits for Him.
Two lectures were delivered, titled, "Public Relations/Media as Catalysts for Church and Societal Transformation" by the former Registrar, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Elder (Dr) M.S. Ayeerun and, "The Church and the Use of the Internet/Social Media in a Time Like This" by the Publisher Momentum International Magazine, Pastor Gabriel Owoeye. The great icons did not leave any stone unturned by charging the publicity secretaries to be highly professional and make the best use of every available medium, including Social Media to propagate the gospel of JESUS CHRIST.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of Ondo State Center of CACCOPS, Pastor A.V Ikujenola (PhD) appreciated every attendant, and charged them never to relent but reach out to others and make them see the reasons why they need to join the task of effective publication of the gospel through instrumentalities of pen, paper and social media.
The Conference was brought to a close with closing prayer from Pastor E.A Oluwasakin, the Odubanjo Regional Coordinator of CACCOPS.
