INSPIRATION:
If you refuse to control your feelings your feelings will control you, if you refuse to manage your grievances your grievances will recreate you, if you refuse to forget your disappointments your disappointments will result in distraction.
EXHORTATION:
As humans we all have different feelings caused by different events at different times. But we must try to be in control of our feelings at all times, especially those of angers, frustrations and disappointments, because they are capable of resulting in crisis and damnation if not properly managed. We must strongly recognize the fact that the best stories ever are the ones with both positive and negative captions.
SOME MEANS OF CONTROLLING YOUR FEELINGS
i. Control your anger: It's normal to be angry occasionally due to unpleasant occurrences, but it's also important to suppress those angers as much as possible in order not to misbehave in the instances.
ii. Be careful to act in anger: Reacting while in anger can be bloody if care is not taken. It is therefore advisable to suspend reactions in this condition.
iii. Always respect the word, "I'm sorry": No human is perfect, and there is no gainsaying about the fact that we will constantly offend each other. But we must learn to always forgive one another once the person at fault regrets and/or apologizes.
iv. Learn to say "I'm sorry": Arising from no.iii above, while cultivating the habit of forgiveness, we must also be apologetic whenever we offend someone else. This is an act of humility.
v. Don't reflect too much on your disappointments: Reflecting too long on past disappointments will do us no good, but will only cause distractions and create more injuries to one's heart.
vi. Never keep malice: Make peace with every man and never hold grudges against anyone. It's a strong way of managing one's emotion.
CONCLUSION:
Flowing from the aforementioned discussion, it's glaring that, dealing with your feelings is of two ways: it's either you're in control or it's in control, but the former is better. It allows peace, expands friendship, and creates stable mind.
