THE FEAR OF THE LORD

- Odunayo Ogunmodede

WISDOM:
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,  but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverb 1:7.

GUIDANCE:
I. The fear of the Lord is very key in whatever one does, and it lightens the ways of whoever cares to prioritize it.

II. This Bible verse has clearly reflected that the source of every knowledge is, God. And the prerequisite to acquiring it is, the fear of God.

III. Another point here is the unfortunate habit of rejection of corrections, and this is very common in the Church of this generation. The Scripture therefore has it that, whoever hates correction is a fool.

OTHER FACTS TO NOTE:
i. You don't have the fear of God if you think the Gospel propagation is not your business, or if you think the success or failure of the Church has nothing to do with you.

ii. You don't have the fear of God if you are still refusing to pay your tithes and vows.

iii. You don't have the fear of God if you are still receiving calls or pressing phones inside the Church, no matter who you are.

iv. You don't have the fear of God if you are still neglecting your roles in the Church as a Church worker, or member.

v. You don't have the fear of God if you are angry when corrected.

CONCLUSION:
The fear of the Lord is a strong shield of protection and guidance. Go for it, have it, and constantly build on it. It pays! Proverb 4: 6-7.
